Auto service managers have a tough job!

In reviewing a small sample set of SMS conversations this afternoon between the auto dealership service department and their customers… here are the numbers: 40% positive / happy customers; 22% negative / unhappy; 38% neutral or stop texting me. And one of the upsides that is obvious from this review is the service manager sees exactly which customers to double back on and make things right! And in nearly every case the customer is happy to give the repair shop another chance.

What do think happens when you don't ask your customers if they were happy with your service and mechanical work? You don't know when it's bad and they likely tell many of their friends never to do business with you. That's a lot of lost business and damaged reputation.
